Odle 2008 M23 Winter Brian Jones $2,000 Visual Arts & Technology Applications To continue the upgrade in Odle equipment; to ensure curriculum alignment with SHS curriculum, along with current industry standards in technology (photography) & software; to develop, hone & refine skills that will prepare students for high school & beyond, exposing students to skills that could transfer to careers in the technology industries.

International 2008 H8 Winter Enid Smith Becker $375 Artist Trading Cards (ATC): Creating Original Miniature Art Canvases Using Scraps & Recycled Materials We will explore the world of mail art & Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) to teach a variety of art techniques.
International 2008 H9 Winter Enid Smith Becker $450 Printmaking: Learning Monotypes from a Professional Artist Invite professional print artist, April Richardson, to demonstrate techniques for making monotypes & help students produce their own prints.
SHS 2008 H13 Winter Erica Mallin $1,600 Sammamish Dialogue on Cultural Awareness and Marginalization A representative group of 30 freshmen, sophomores & juniors will be selected to participate in a 1.5 day training covering the topics of cultural identity & marginalization, with a specific emphasis on the school climate at SHS.
SHS 2008 H14 Winter Jason Moodie $974 Sculptural Travel Bugs: An Experience in Stewarding Public Art Students from 4 schools/6 grade levels will create & track the progress of small sculptures launched as geocaching "travel bugs" that will journey through local caches & arrive at Bellevue City Hall for display in the 2008 Bellevue Sculpture Exhibition, making for live stewardship of public art.
